Teaching Teams

At Pukete School we have 5 teaching teams. The teachers and learning assistants work collaboratively to plan for teaching and learning, and share strategies to engage children in learning.

Tui -Yr 0/1

Rooms 11, 12, 13, 14 & 2

You will start school at Pukete School in the Tui team. There are four classes in the Tui team at the beginning of the year

Kiwi - Yr 1/2/3

ROOMS 18, 19, 20 & 21

The Kiwi team are a bunch of wonderful Year 1 and 2 learners. Our main focus is Literacy and Numeracy.

Kea -Yr 3

Rooms 15, 16, 17

Kea team is a tight knit team who like to collaborate closely and share their areas of interest and expertise.

Kakapo - Yr 4

ROOMS 8, 9, & 10

Kakapo is the year 4 syndicate. We are looking forward to having lots of exciting learning experiences with our children.

Ruru - Yr 5/6

Rooms 3, 4, 5, 6 & 7

Our aim is to ensure that our Year 5/6s are ready for Intermediate School and also know the importance of being a good citizen.

General Information

Here at Pukete School we endeavour to keep our parents informed of all important information needed to keep our school running smoothly.

School Times

School starts at 8.55 a.m. each weekday morning and finishes at 3.00 p.m. Unless involved in Before School Programmes, we encourage children not to arrive at school prior to 8.30 a.m. Students are to wait at the main entrance before the 8.30 a.m. bell rings.
