Our Facilities
Te Huarahi- The track
After years of fundraising and hard work, in 2023 we opened our new custom-built tarseal track -Te Huarahi. This multi track layout is super fun and riders can work on their skills across multiple terrains. Scooter, skate, bike, walk or run around our 500m long track.
School Pool
We are one of the lucky schools that have a swimming pool. It has had several upgrades since it was built including solar heating and a cover. Each year the children enjoy several weeks of swimming lessons. The school pool opens in Term One and remains in use while the weather is favourable. The teaching of swimming is part of the curriculum and there is an expectation for children to bring their togs to school.
Te Manawa - Our Hall
Te Manawa was built in 2003 and is used for a range activities including sport, dance, drama, Kapa haka, choir, assemblies and physical education.
Computer Suite
Our large computer suite is used daily by children and includes high speed internet access and a data system.
Library
Our library is well stocked with children’s books both fiction and non-fiction. All classes visit the library on a regular basis and take books home to read with their families. The library is open at second lunch as an alternative to outside activities.
Playgrounds & Turf
We have three “adventure” type playgrounds including a fitness trail an enclosed turf, and a large playing field.
