Student Wellbeing
Student Health
We have staff trained in first aid, however we do not have a school nurse on site.
Please keep your child at home if they are unwell. This is best for the child and also helps keep our environment as healthy as possible. If a student becomes ill or is injured at school, they will be looked after to the best of our ability until a parent or designated emergency contact can collect them.
In such instances, the school secretary will ring and ask for the student to be collected. It is essential that the school has both up to date parent contact numbers and emergency contact numbers.
Dental Clinic
The school will use the services of a mobile clinic during the school year. However, the Dental Therapists are only here for a short period of the year and students have a dental check during this time. At other times call 0800 TALK TEETH (0800 825 583) to find your closest clinic.
Medication at School
Parents/Caregivers must notify the school office if their child needs to take medication at school. All medication brought to school must be delivered to the school office so it can be taken at the prescribed times under adult supervision. The exception to this is an asthma inhaler, which students should carry with them.
